What are the benefits of silk? 

Silk is one of the kindest fibres you can use on your skin; it has significantly less friction than regular cotton or satin, which helps with the prevention of irritation, premature aging and acne. Silk is also hypoallergenic which is ideal for those with skin sensitivity. In addition to that, the fibre also retains moisture within the skin, with a reduction of absorption that cotton or other materials may have. This can dry out your epidermis. With that in mind, you can use your favourite moisturiser knowing well that your skin is reaping the full benefits from your special concoction of ingredients.

 

 

How do I care for silk pillowcase? 

Silk is a gorgeous delicate fibre that has many amazing properties to care for your skin. Having this in mind, it is important to care for your silk in order to achieve its longevity. 

 

You may machine wash or hand wash your silk items in water that doesn’t exceed 30 degrees Celsius and use a gentle detergent. To protect your silk, a wash bag is suggested so other garments don’t snag onto the delicate fibres. Finally, hang and air dry on a rack, and you may finish off with a gentle iron on a low heat setting ready for its next use on you, beau.
